I  Special Orders No 180 C.S. from this Bureau is so far modified as to allow Bvt Brig. Genl Horace Neide U.S.V. Lt. Col. [[?]] Special Inspector of Schools, B.R.F. and A.L. to begin his inspection with the State of Virginia. General Neide will proceed without delay to Richmond Va and from thence to such points in the Department of the Potomac, as it may be necessary for him to visit in compliance with Special instructions this day received from the Commissioner.

Upon the completion of this duty and previous to his complying with requirements of Special Orders No 180 C.S. from this Bureau, he will return to his station in this City.
