pay them, which subjects them to double postage. Hereafter all packages sent from my office will be weighed and the exact amount of postage proper paid. The same course will be expected on the part of all Medical Officers of the Bureau in this state. 

Attention is called to the requirement, that in the monthly report of sick and wounded, all cases placed in the tabular list of diseases, opposite headings in Italics, must be separately described under remarks. Medical Officers have also been directed to describe under remarks all cases placed opposite the headings in class V. order II. "violent diseases and deaths."

Under remarks shall also be placed a brief statement of prevailing diseases, their character and general sanitary condition. I trust it will not be again necessary to call attention to these points, nor to the requirements that all reports, shall be made with care. Neat in appearance without blots, erasures, or remaking of figures. and all communications properly folded, and endorsed on the exterior.
