Dear Sir
Your favor of 26th Oct was handed me to day. I regret to say that the County is holy unable to provide for the paupers now in the poor house, as County warrants are not worth fifty cents in the dollars.
I therefore trust that the U S. Government will make provission for the boy Taylor Yeloda that you allude to as well as others that are bound to suffer unless relief can be obtained from some source.
I am now furnishing provissions to the poor house with but little prospect of being paid for some time to come.
