To the agent of the Freedman's Bureau Jackson Miss

Dear Sir
I again have to trouble you with another communication against Mr Thos B Lowell in favor of my old man George Holmes who wishes you to send an officer over to my house to attend to his & other business I also together with many of the freedmen in this neighborhood make the same request an attachment may do but we all want you to send an Officer, There is other business which ought to be attend to there is to be a sale of some of his & his mothers things on next Wednesday [[strikethrough]] Thursday [[/strikethrough]] & we would like an Officer to be sent at least by that time They are bad stack, The old Lady has been found guilty of steeling stealing Cotton by the Bale & now they are trying to get off to Texas & though they have been selling off their effects & have money they continue to put of George with fair promises as I has said before I have given the old man advice in the matter which made them all mad. [[strikethrough]] The old man [[/strikethrough]] & I enclose a note which I received from him on the subject the old man let them off with a dollar per month less than the Contract & now I believe they are trying to get off without paying that & now prompt action is important I understand some stments have been made against me which I would like looked into
