LIFE OF A BLACK PRISONER
CHAPMAN

all those who believe in social justice, if I am ever to be free again. However, it is not I alone who will benefit from such help because there are brothers like me throughout America whose lives are becoming permanently deranged by our bureaucratic prison system. I don't like to make dark and frightening predictions, but in all sincerity I believe that unless something is done about the wretched conditions in prison, there is going to be (in fact there already is) a lot of senseless bloodshed. I have spent ten years of my life in these human junkyards so I want very strongly to contribute what I can to help improve things.
In conclusion, my legal struggle cannot be separated from the overall struggle for social justice in our country because I am one among many. I am typical of the injustice in our country.
