STUDY Marxism-Leninism
the ideology of the working class and oppressed peoples of the world

The Center for Marxist Education, founded October 1969, was established to fill a serious theoretical gap in the tremendous activist movement which has arisen in reaction to the poverty, racism, violence, corruption and degradation which characterize life today in capitalist United States.

Marxism-Leninism has proven its validity and usefulness in the struggles which have ended capitalism and imperialist domination in more than one-third of the world. In the United States there is an acute need to master and apply this science in the daily fight for peace, for Black liberation, and for an end of exploitation and oppression.

The program of classes, forums, and cultural activities which the Center offers is aimed at providing activists with the tools of Marxism-Leninism, in its theoretical and practical aspects. Among the courses offered each quarterly term are: Marxist philosophy, political economy, historical materialism, Black history and liberation, struggles in Latin America, strategy and tactics of socialist revolution, African history, class struggle in the U.S., women's liberation, and many other relevant subjects.

In its faculty-staff and student-audience the Center exemplifies the unity of Black, white and Spanish-speaking peoples in a common undertaking to learn how quickest and best to advance the cause of socialism in our country.
