to their population.  Guarantee reasonable proportions of Black jurors.  Abolish the death penalty.  End inequality in convictions and sentences directed against Black defendants by providing a system which makes bail and other defense measures available to all Black masses.  Free all political prisoners.

Provide work, training, and legal minimum wages to all prisoners.  Legalize unions of prisoners.  Eliminate all forms of discrimination and segregation in prisons.  Provide for Black representation among guards and prison officials at least in proportion to the number of Black prisoners.  Impose long-term prison terms for any act of brutality, including beating, deprivation of food or water, incarceration in special cells, torture, deprivation of sleep.  Guarantee prisoners un-limited correspondence and reading rights, free of censorship.  Guarantee liberal visiting rights to all prisoners, including conjugal visits in special hotel facilities.

End harassment and prosecution of Black servicemen.  Provide criminal penalties against all U.S. citizens discriminating against Black servicemen or officers.  Close down all foreign bases.

to provide political equality and full representation

Guarantee Black representation at all levels of government at least in proportion to population, including predominant Black representation in areas of black majority, and proportional or better representation in areas of Black minority.  This is to be accomplished by redistricting to end racist gerrymandering and to facilitate Black electoral victories, use of proportional representation systems, a universal voter registration drive, arrangements to permit voting on-the-job or in the home of workers and housewives, and by whatever other means are required.

Protect voters from racist harassment at the polls and registration places, especially in the south.  Jail officials, employers, landlords and others who threaten or carry out reprisals against Black people for registering or for voting contrary to their wishes.  Outlaw all fascist organizations, including fascist political parties.

Establish community control of local administrations; schools, police, traffic regulation in Black communities and other communities of oppressed peoples.

to change the country's foreign policy to end global racist aggression

Sever all direct and indirect military and economic support for

South Africa, Rhodesia and Portugal.  End all U.S. imperialist involvement in all colonialist and neo-colonialist affairs.

End the racist aggression against the peoples of Indochina.  Pay full reparations for the heinous damage done there.  End support for Israeli aggression against the Arab peoples.  

Ratify the UN convention on genocide and the UN declaration against racial discrimination.

The goals of liberation and socialism are further up the track; but before you ride the train, you've got to have a ticket.  These demands are the ticket to the train of liberation-the train that can take us to a point of stronger unity-a point where all the barbarity and inhumanity of racism and exploitation and fascism will once and for all be thrown on the scrap heap of history.
