He is also co-chairman, Black Emergency Cultural Coalition, an organization of Black artists dedicated to ending racism in the arts. Brusmic Brandon, Jr. is creator of the Luther cartoon series which are syndicated in 35 newspapers and is the author of four Luther books. His annual cartoons appear here for the tenth consecutive fourth quarter. Illustrator and artist Elton C. Fax is the author of a number of books, among them West Africa Vignettes, Garvey: The Story of a Pioneer Black Nationalist and Seventeen Black Artists. Earl Ofari is author of The Myth of Black Capitalism, Let Your Motto Be Resistance and numerous articles and essays. Steve Hitchcock is a student at Antioch Graduate School of Education, Washington, D.C. Tom Dent, one of the founders of The Free Southern Theatre, is a poet and free-lance writer. 268
