Howard N. Meyer is author of Colonel of the Black Regiment, a biography of Thomas Wentworth Higginson and other books.

Richard O. Boyer, author of The Legend of John Brown, died in New York City on August 7th; a well-known journalist and author, he had been working on a second volume of John Brown and his times.

Antar Sudan Katara Mberi, poet and educator, is Cultural Editor of Afro-American Affairs published at the Center for Afro-American Studies at Ohio University. 

Dr. Olivia Pearl Stokes is Associate Professor of Education at Herbert Lehman College, City University of New York.

Marion K. Borenstein is a Black mother and a specialist in early childhood education. She is active in community activities on the west side, New York City.

Octave Lilly, Jr. is a New Orleans based poet whose most recent book Cathedral in the Ghetto and Other Poems was reviewed in FREEDOMWAYS, Vol. 12, No. 4 (1972).

Henri Percikow is a well-known New York writer. His poem in tribute to Angela Davis published in FREEDOMWAYS has been widely acclaimed.
