Lieut W Daniels makes report of condition of affairs in Isle of Wight Co.

States that in the adjacent portions of the County there is no cause of complaint among the freedmen. They are mostly making contracts for the present year. In the distant portions of the County there is a good deal of hard feeling towards the freedmen but no cases of actual violence except the murder of "Burrell Green" This feeling is wearing away though a good many threats of mostly beating &c have come to his knowledge.
