Supt Sixth Dist Va

Capt

I have the honor to report that Bureau Affairs in this Sub District remain about the same as at the time of making my last Report.

There have been no changes worthy of notice.

The Freedmen in the City continue to be well disposed and are making laudable efforts to maintain a correct standing among the people, they are now engaged in making the effort to purchase a Building to be used as a School House and Church and I think will succeed.

The School is in a flourishing condition with a marked improvement in the deportment and studiousness of the Pupils.

My Report of Rations Issued exhibits a slight increase that will be accounted for by the fact nearly one half of the Rations issued this month have been to those that are under the care of the Resident Physician in the city and to those that have come from the neighboring Counties to receive medical Treatment
