Office of Asst Supt RF&c
Danville Vir'g
March 1st 1866

Colonel
I have the honor to report that the feeling existing between the Whites and Blacks is quite good and I think this feeling is owing to the presence of the military and the authority vested in the Agents of the Freedmens Bureau
There has been verry fiew cases of ill treatment by the Whites upon the Freedmen during the past month in this Sub District

Very Respectfully
Your obedient servant
J.F. Wilcox
