   I have the honor to report the condition Freedmen's affairs in this county as cheerful in most respects.  The Freedmen are all at work, and to my knowledge there are none without  employment, and under the many disadvantages which they labor, the hostility of their former owners, the poor return that many received for labor last year, and their ignorant state, are, I think, doing commendably well.  A few thefts of pigs constitute the sum total of their offending, and these I think are becoming more unfrequent.
   I am sorry to report an increase of disloyal sentiment, or a bolder exhibition of it.  Men say, "Well, we have taken the oath of allegiance but by G-d [[strikeout]] I [[/strikeout]] intend to talk under than just as far as we [[strikeout]] I [[/strikeout]] can".  At its last session, the
