   The citizens of the place in many instances seem much opposed to the freedmen and their children attending school.  Some tell the freedmen that education will ruin tham and make them good for nothing.
   The schools are in very good condition and the children are improving rapidly.
   I am endeavoring to discharge my whole duty faithfully and fully.
