Sir;
I have the honor to report that the condition of the Freedmen in this county remains unchanged since last report, the majority are at daily labor woodchopping, and fishing, they have a great repugnance to making binding contracts with anyone preferring to raise the bare necessities of life on their own account.

I can find employment for five first class farm hands on the terms mentioned in my last report; and one old man (or woman) to take care of stock at lower rates.

There are no civilians, no Schools, Scholars or Teachers, no Abandoned Lands, employed by or
