There is yet a demand on the part of the farmers for more hands, and the farmers see their dependence on the Freedmen for labor.

During the past month there has been no cases tried before the Freedmen's Court at this station, there has however been some disputes about wages which have been amicably settled without going before the Court, most of the cases are those of wages due for work done last year

The state of feeling existing between the Whites and the Freedmen is good and is improving, the Freedmen showing to the Whites at the same time, that they now have right to think and act for themselves

There is a general satisfaction among the Freedmen in regard to their marriages being made legal, they are becoming awakened to the fact that one husband or wife is all that is allowed, and it meets with great favor among them
