I have the honor to make the following report in relation to the affairs of the Freedmen's Bureau in my Sub. Dist.

The order in regard to allowing the civil authorities to take up and dispose of all criminal cases arising between the Freedmen and Whites has been recd and promulgated, and in consequence of the same, I have disolved [[dissolved]] my "Freedmen's Court," deeming it unnecessary to keep up such an organization as the cases which would come before it are few and I can dispose of all such without any assistance; the order requires that Ass't. Sup't's. shall be present at all trials of Freedmen before Magistrates or Courts, and at all cases in which the testimony of Freedmen is to be taken; My Sub. Dist. comprises six large counties Viz. Washington, Russell,
