State of Va Richmond Virg Colonel I have the honor to report that the feeling existing between the whites and blacks remain about the same as stated in my last report The Freedmen are doing verry well and there are but verry few that are trifling with their contracts and it is my opinion that a majority of them are working better than they ever did before Very Respectfully Your obedient servant J.
