Sir!

In compliance with Circular No 6. dated Hd Qrs Asst Commr State of Va. Richmond Va. January 29 1866. which required a monthly General report of the Condition of the Sub District. I have the honor to state, that in general feeling and treatment, between the white and the colored population has undergone a great change in the County, to the Benefit of the later class.

Notwithstanding hunderts [[hundreds]] of questions has to be answered, and a great many of triveling cases settled by my interference, non of importance cam up, making it necessary to be tried by Court. No Contract are made this month under my Superviction, although no freedment is going idle here. Great labor being performed in this part of the County by the freedmen
