Many petty grievances which have been kept to themselves awaiting a good oportunity to report are now made known - and have to be heard [[strikethrough]] who [[/strikethrough]] wholly or in-part.  Few are of any importance except to show the Animus of the Whites towards them, which is rather to treat them as Slaves than free.

No appearance of any contagious or epidemic disease in this Sub-district.

There are no Schools in this sub-District for freedmen.  Many express a desire to have a chance to learn and Seem especially desirous to have Such privilege for their children.

There are but from fifteen to twenty-five freed that are now receiving any support from the government in the way of rations.  Of this number most are entirely helpless.  Three of these need clothing (womens).
