Captain I have the honor to report in regard to the condition of affairs in my Sub District as follows
On the site of the burned school house near Sommerton, a new house is erected and a school progressing finely 
The four men arrested by me and sent to the military authorities at Norfolk on the 30th ult, have as I accidentally learned been released on bail I have had no official information in regard to them since they passed from my hands a month since
The school at Suffolk, temporarily closed on account of small-pox in the village, is again in progress
