how to effect this desirable and [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] philanthropic object it is absolutely necessary that the young shall be taught the ordinary elements of primary education Reading writing and arithmetic and to be trained either by their parents or others in habits of obedience to lawful authority learning industry perseverance and personal self dependence - And in conclusion I have to say that you must excuse this hasty report as I have just put down my opinion and thoughts candidly, as they occurred to me without much attention to grammar or language or the proper construction of the sentences and periods but I hope you may be able to get at my meaning.
