vice, but it is hoped that recent orders received relating to the removal of "Freedmen" to the counties from which they originally came, will have the effect to decrease the population of these villages: Labor is  beginning to be very scarce, but through the enterprise of a northern man (Mr. Gallagher) who is about erecting manufactories of different descriptions, it is believed that the "Freedmen" of this county will soon be well and profitably employed and the expenses of this office will be reduced materially.
