I have the honour to report that the white men with few exceptions exhibit a good feeling towards the freed men and seem  willing to do by them what is right the freedmen are
willing to work for them but have a habit of leaving there  work to idle about - where ever they would feel like it  they also had an idea they were not to work on Saturdays. in this however I think they have improved.

I do not see so much lounging about as I did when I first came to the county The principal complaint now by the freedmen is in regard to pay for the last year work nearly all of them claim pay the freedmens court - were setling there claims as fast as possible. 

How shall I advise them to proce ed nowas the court has been adjourned until further
