I have attended all the trials of criminal cases in both Counties in which Freedmen were parties, and I have not yet noticed any inclination to prevent impartial, and fair examinations -

The Schools here are in excellent condition, and are well attended and admirably managed. - The pupils generally are improving, and manifest an earnest desire to learn.
