part of a few residents in that vicinity, but not of sufficient importance to do any injury. There is a school established at Clover by a colored Baptist minister, which is succeeding well under the circumstances, the inability to procure Books is the greatest drawback as but few Freedmen have any money to purchase them at present, if there could be some sent here for distribution it would be a great benefit.
I am, as time and opportunity will permit visiting different portions of the County, and will from time to time report the condition of affairs as I see them.
