Reports the feeling existing between whites & freedmen as not harmonious that they have contracted by the year but feeling of distrust exists with both classes and a hostility on part of the middle & lower classes of whites, gives statement of case now before the civil courts also of negro who came in wounded by white citizens because he refused to play the banjo.
