The operation of Bureau Affairs in the Sub-Dist. of Goochland County about as here before reported. The feelings of the Whites towards the freedmen is good will for the most part and where interest of the white is not opposed to the colored; but when such interest oppose or cross the very opposite and not only extreme words but extreme measures. The conduct of the freedmen throughout this county has been good.

Neither contagious or epidemic disease has made its appearance in this Sub-Dist. Some freed now have the Ague or chills & fever in some localities of this county and if for the relief of these some simple medicines could be sent here it would be of great assistance to some who are Scarcely able to obtain the same.

There are no Schools for Freed children
