I have the honor to make the following consolidated report of the Bureau &c. for the Month of June 1866,

The Freedman are generally at work wages range from (8) eight to (10) ten dollars per month with board for Males and for Females from (2) two to (5) five dollars per month with board. Quite a number of Freedmen are working with the planter for a share of the crops in these cases the planter furnish houses and garden patches for the Freedmen, As to the administration of Civil Justice there is a disposition on the part of the civil authorities to render Justice to all parties without regard to color or race with but very few exceptions.

The demand for Labour is not greater than the supply, except in parts of the Dist Just at this time owing to the fact that the harvest is a bout to commence and hands are in demand Just now to take care of the harvest, but this demand will stop as soon as harvest is over. Colored soldiers who served in the United States Army find it very difficult to find employment in this District,
