NARA 179

rent for the rooms I had rented them although I had tendered him rent in presence of witnesses & he had refused it; He has annoyed every one I put there & prevented me from making money by my House; while I have been kept out of the use of my lumber & palings or at least out of the use of the money they would bring

While Blake has annoyed me causing me & my tenant Jake Barlow to lose our time & expend our money by bringing a vexatious suit against him Barlow for rent pretended to be due. Which suit was to day decided against Blake & he put to cost

Now Sir Both Barlow & myself work for our living & have neither time or money to spare in law; and I now respectfully ask you to look into this matter to make Blake give up such of my property as is on his lot pay for what he has moved off the premises & satisfy Jake Barlow & myself for the trouble & expense he has unnecessarily put us to

Respectfully
(Signed) Vicey Tarpley
