Reports the state of feeling existing between the whites and blacks in Northumberland & Lancaster Counties is not as cordial as it was a few months ago. No actual suffering for food exists at present among them.

Most of the Freedmen have very good prospects for a large crop and are working well - should the contracts this year be fulfilled - at the division of the crops. no difficulty will be experienced in arranging bargains for next year.
