Most of the Freedmen have very good prospects for large crops, and are working well. Should the contracts that they have entered into this year be fulfilled by the whites, at the division of the crops. No difficulty will be experienced by either side in arranging their bargains for next year.

The feeling of bitterness between the Refugees & those who remained here during the war, is still very intense and will probably end in a serious outbreak at some future time.
