they think not allways are to be changed to politik or prejudiced. So the testimony of diferent freedmen, particle a party I meet sundy last, comming from Dovine-Meeding & which I trust truth, I take it granted they feel there self well in their present Condition. and are self despiteing these of their Collour, as do not want to behave them well. & do not intent to go in, into agreement to make them self supporting  Contrairy to their doing now, working her and there and in the Winter nether where, and in Consequence will have to suffer. - They say they allready have calls for agreement for next Year.

Their is only one School in this County at this place, and the same being at present and for the hot month & ceason.  I do not know the class circumstance of the same.  The freedmen themself have at this place, bought a large Building old for $600. & now are using the same for divine & School rooms. and as I. was told by freedmen the school was leadet by a freedman R Powell as teacher. and never interrupted at all.  As the Building needs reparature,  I respectfully reccommand the assistants of the Bureau for the purpose as well as the sending of a white teacher for the fall & winter Course.

Among them 5 a yoor[?] freedman of this County, 6 a 700-
