I have the honor to report in compliance with Circular No 6 dated BRF & AL Hd Qrs Asst Commr State of Va Richmond Va January 29th 1866 the Condition of Bureau affairs in the County of Fauquier Va for the month of July 1866-

The feeling now actually existing between the Whites & Freedmen is of a very encouraging character.

No reports of abuse of the blacks have been made to me during the month.  The freedmen have observed in good faith the contracts made by them with the whites. the latter also with a few exceptions have done the same toward the blacks.  I do not think the feeling against the Freedmen is so strong as
