Lieut and Asst Supt Northumberland & Lancaster Counties States the feeling existing between whites & blacks. has very materially improved during the last month, Freedmen are making honest efforts to maintain and educate themselves, and a large proportion of whites, seem disposed to second them in their efforts. Many schools have been established by the Freedmen, - without aid from others. - and are only held on the sabbath.
