Freedmen for labor, and the most wise openly acknowledge that it is the only labor that is to be had in this part of the country, therefore, are trying to encourage them by good advice, fair and just dealings and deserving treatment, thus rendering material aid in refraining them from a dissolute, irregular course of life, into which they so naturally fall.
