here, and have given them all the information in regard to it that I can. I have heard many complaints of theft committed, and considering the number congregated here, I think their conduct very commendable. Much sickness, from chills & fevers, prevails at present, and two or three cases of cholera have been reported. I will mention in this connection, that A. A. Surgeon Barber connected with the troops at this place has been very kind in his attention to the sick freedmen. My reports are more meagre than usual this month.
