In compliance with Circular No 6. Hd Qrs. A. Com of Va. I have the honor to report that the affairs of Freedmen in the Sub District of Prince Wm. County continue in a favorable condition. No outrages have been committed during the past month, and no complaints made of a serious nature, and far of a trivial nature, all of which I have managed to satisfy without trouble. There is now no open opposition to my authority in the county, and being generally acquainted. I can accomplish what my duty requires much more satisfactorily than formerly. The Justices of the Co. are generally very fair and kind to the freedmen, in the trial of cases and otherwise, I have had no opportunity to judge what a jury would do, as there
