Men separated from their families have been allowed to go on as best they could, and furnished with pass and provision and requests to the different Superintendents to furnish aid on their rents. Several wealthy men stand ready to compete with each other in purchasing it at public auction. It can be sold at private sale for nearly what it cost last year, if it can be sold.
