Brown is forced to sustain his former action in this case By order &c R'd 1 Augt & forw'd 2 Augt 1865. 65 A. S. Billingsley Hosptl. Chaplain U.S.A. Fort Monroe, Va July 25th 1865. Asks to be transferred to the Bureau, as his present occupation will soon be ended. Endorsed. U.S. Genl. Hosptl Fort Monroe, Va July 26th/65 Respty forwarded — approved. The services of Chaplain Billingsley are not actually required here, owing to the diminution of number of patients.
