Respty ref'd to Mr. Jackson for information to report.

Respty returned with the report, the house of A. Sidney Rogers was like that of Geo. T. Rodgers, voluntarily abandoned by the owner and family. The neighboring farms are occupied by a large number of Freedmen who are rationed from and attend school on the A.S. Rogers farm. The retention of the house is needful to this Dept and it appears the home on the G.T. Rogers Farm would afford ample accommodation for the families of both Brothers and also obviate and unpleasantness between them and the Freedmen.
