Respectfully returned to Capt A. S. Flagg AQM &c. The village of slabtown occupied by Freedmen is situated on this property. many of the colored people were forcibly removed to it by order of Brig Genl Wistar with the

assurance that they should not be molested so long as the U.S. forces were in the possession of the District. The balance of the farm with the exception of a small portion occupied by the friends Freedmen Association as a Mission House, Store, School-house &c is under cultivation by the Government, 
The dwelling house in Yorktown is occupied by myself_ From all the information I can obtain I have no doubt the statement of Dr Power's in regard to the manner in which his property was seized by the Rebel authorities and his own position during the war is entirely correct.
