Makes statement regarding colored children now in the city of Richmond. who were prior to the war owned by him. States that they are very destitute and that their parents now live in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and requests that transportation be furnished the children to their parents.

Forwards by direction of Gen'l Hooker papers in the case of Wm Kinney formerly storekeeper in Richmond Va, knows that he has been a Union man throughout. He was conscripted into the Rebel Army but deserted at Charles City  x Roads. He has lost all his property and is now working as a common laborer, and is very destitute. His wife and five children are still in or near Richmond. He is not able to bring them here and prays that transportation may be furnished them to N.Y.
