Respectfully Returned. This was the property of the so called Confederate Gov't. there are (2 1/2) two and one half acres of land bought by the Gov't which is of but little value. The building consists of short tower furnaces &c. of no use except for material. There is quite a call for brick now, and the property undoubtedly sell well.

Respectfully returned. You cannot sell the land. if the other property is worth more to the Gov't if sold at Auction than to be disposed of in any other way, you have permission to sell it.
It would seem however that it would be worth more for the purpose for which it was originally constructed.
