Communication from Capt Barnes A.Q.M. &c, Lieut W. A. Barnes Asst Supt. "President & Stockholders" of the Clarksville Savings Bank &c in relation to a deposit by James. W. Harris dec'd a "free colored man," of $710. on May 15th 1861, and on the same day signed the same over to his wife "Mary Ann Harris", authorizing the said Bank to pay the same to her, She now, thro' her counsel H. Wood. &. Son. claims the principal. with interest from date of deposit.

Respectfully forwarded. The applicant has complied with the conditions of Genl order No. 19. attention is also invited to endorsement of Mr Jackson. The applicant is also owner of property No. 80. Main St. but as this has been confiscated and turned over to the Bureau by an order approved by the President, he does not now wish to apply for it. His application at present has only reference to balance of his property. The property is rented to Mrs Philips and others but no rent has been received by the Bureau.
