We want more medical help and medicines.
Persons are dying; two, three, and four a day. and half the cases I am confident from lack of medicines and attendance. We have one Surg for this Co. who is subject to calls from at least, six thousand persons, and it is beyond the strength of one man even with sufficient medicine to attend to a quarter of the cases.
Dr. Seymour √ in charge here, says he has "begged, borrowed, and bought, all he could get in the line of medicine and has not been able to half supply his need" We have made requisitions and appeals to the medical officers here, but all of no avail, but Dr. Craven √ Medical Director has assured us, all requisitions must go to Richmond. We have sent as directed but get no response, can you help us.
