I have the honor in compliance with Circular No. 6 dated Hd. Qrs. Asst. Commissioner State of Va. Richmond Va. January 29th 1866. to report very little change in the condition of Bureau affairs in this Sub. Dist. during the month of November. In a number of cases were Freedmen have been laboring for a share of the crop the crops have already been divided and the Freedmen have claimed their share without any controversy except in one case which was finally adjusted by Referees. Many contracts provide for the Payment of the Freedmen at Christmas for their years labor and some Freedmen express apprehension of trouble in obtaining their pay at that time and from appearances to think in some cases their apprehensions
