The demand for labor still exceeds the supply - 
The Quarterly Courts were held on the 19th inst, but no trials occurred in which Freedmen were concerned either as plaintiffs or defendants. 
The Day, night, & sunday Schools under the immediate supervision of Rev. S.S. Acken & wife are all in good working order, well attended, and a marked disposition or rather inclination to learn, on the part of the scholars - 
The strongest antipathy towards the Teachers still exists at this point, although no interference has been, thus far, made manifest -
