of the necessary supply of clothing in this Sub Dist. the suffering which it was feared would exist among the "destitutes" will be obviated.

The "Freedmens' school" at this place, under the auspices of the "Baptist Home Mission Society", is in a most prosperous condition. There are already (102) one hundred and two pupils, and the numbers are constantly increasing. This is the only school that I know of in the county; but I think others might be established, upon the same place, with much promise of good.
