Hd Qrs. Asst Sup't. Counties of Northumberland, and Lancaster Va. Heathsville Va. Dec 24, 1866 Busby E. W. Lieut. and Asst Sup't. 6 Reports, in obedience to Cir No 6, that the state of feeling existing between the whites, and the blacks, during the month of December, has been generally a friendly one. No cases of outrage upon either side have been reported to him during the month. Is no suffering for food, among the Freedmen at present, the crops of 1866 having been better than was expected Bureau R.F. and A.L. Office Sup't 6th District, Va. Fredericksburg, Va. Jan 5th. 1867.
